About Uma, Lately…

Hi, I’m Uma.

I’m from Singapore, in my thirties, permanently tired, slightly dramatic, deeply reflective, occasionally unhinged, and somehow still functioning.

I used to blog a lot. Then adulthood happened and apparently decided I needed full-time employment, family responsibilities, emotional plot twists, spiritual awakenings, random life crises, and a front-row seat to other people’s nonsense.

So naturally, I’m blogging again.

There is no niche here because my life refuses to stick to one category. I’ll probably write about work, people, relationships, faith, growing older, things that annoy me, things that heal me, places I go, thoughts that arrive at inconvenient hours, and the occasional situation that makes me wonder how this became my problem.

Some posts will be serious.

Some will be funny.

Some will probably start funny and accidentally become an existential crisis halfway through.

I overthink, I observe everything, I ask too many questions, I laugh at inappropriate moments, and I have an unfortunate habit of turning life experiences into lessons after first turning them into complaints.

This blog is basically where all of that goes.

No personal brand. No inspirational-guru energy. No promise that I have figured life out.

Just me, writing again.

Welcome to the chaos.
